Olea Europaea 'Olive Tree' Seeds

Grow your own Mediterranean paradise at home with Olea Europaea 'Olive Tree' seeds. Olive trees make for beautiful and elegant houseplants indoors, and in temperate climates, can be grown outdoors.

Instructions:

We recommend using the following to sow the seeds:

To plant these, start by scarifying the outer coating of the seeds, either by nicking the outer coating with a knife, or by scrubbing the seed with sand paper. You can pre-soak the seeds in water for 12-24 hours. Most importantly, these seeds need to be stratified. Stratify your Olive tree seeds for at least 30 days prior to planting(plant the seeds and either place them in a cold garage or outdoor area, or in the fridge to mimic an overwintering process), this is critical to breaking the seeds dormancy so they can germinate. After stratifying the seeds, move them to a warm spot to continue to grow.

Fertilize your olive trees once a year, more frequently during the growing season especially the younger it is.
