The botanical name for Purple Heart is Setcreasea, also sometimes referred to as Tradescantia pallida. Purple heart makes great indoor plants however in several areas of the United States they are also used as an outdoor annual.

Recommendations for growing success:

Light: Semi-shade in spring and summer months, bright light in winter

Water: Keep soil moist

Repotting: Repot every year in the spring
